Disney’s given us hundreds of jazzy tunes and fun moves through their films. So, for National Dance Day, we picked our 10 favorite dance scenes that have had us grooving and grinning since we can remember.
Here are the top 10 Disney dance scenes:
The muses just have it. They have the coordination, the hips, the fits, the shoulders, everything. We know we’re not the only ones who got our friends or family members to nail the routine with us, either.
We know Baloo can dance when he first sings “Bare Necessities” but this guy really can move and he can scat, too! Too bad his cover was blown and this dance scene had to end. It gets us up and bopping every time.
Speaking of bops, this song is the ultimate tune to sway and step to. Our favorite musical cats know how to have a good time and they show it off in this fun and funky dance scene.
This prince and princess definitely take the trophy for the best royal dancers. Their upbeat and coordinated moves are a sharp contrast to the usual royal Disney dances we’ve seen and we love it.
We can’t get enough of this scene where Lilo tries to teach Stitch how to dance and he picks it up instantly. Some things just come naturally and for Stitch, it’s dancing to Elvis tunes with his equally as groovy dance partner.
Kuzco knows he’s got moves and he is absolutely unafraid of showing them off. In fact, he makes it part of his morning routine. Now THAT is how we should be waking up in the morning.
Although it’s short, this scene of Timon and Pumba is iconic. They nailed everything from the costumes to the props to Timon’s routine. 10/10, boys.
A cowgirl and a space ranger… doing the salsa? Yep, that’s right and it’s phenomenal. Tiana and Naveen snagged best royal dancers, but Buzz and Jessie definitely take the best toy dancers.
This guy may be evil but his dance moves never fail to crack us up. “Like an agile peacock,” the Duke of Weselton really goes off - as you can see by his flailing toupee.
Even though it’s not exactly a dance scene we can bounce around to, the ballroom dance between Beauty and the Beast is still a memorable one. There’s no denying we all dreamed of being twirled by our true love because of this dance.
Our feet are tapping now and we’re ready to put on some Disney tunes and dance up a sweat. Which Disney dance scene is your favorite?
